Canglong steel structure solution for a 5000㎡ factory in Chile

Amidst the rapid expansion of industry in South America, a Chilean manufacturing company urgently needed a steel structure factory integrating efficient production and management. Leveraging its comprehensive capabilities in design, materials, operation, and installation, Canglong Group customized a 5000㎡ integrated factory solution for the client. This solution encompasses a 4304㎡ multi-span production area and a 696㎡ double-story office area, facilitating rapid production with a robust structure, superior functionality, and fast delivery.

Precise Zoning

The core of the project was the division of functional areas according to the client's needs, balancing production efficiency and office experience:

Production Area (4304㎡, 10.5 meters high): Utilizes a multi-span portal frame structure, with a 10.5-meter headroom reserved for overhead crane hoisting, meeting the needs of heavy equipment handling.

Office Area (696㎡, two-story structure): The first floor houses a reception area and meeting rooms; the second floor is an open-plan office area with PVC windows and double-leaf glass doors.

Preferred Materials

Targeting Chile's Mediterranean climate, Canglong selected a high-performance, cost-effective material combination:

Main Structure: Beams and columns utilize Q355H-section steel (yield strength 355MPa), with a load-bearing capacity of 12 tons/㎡ and excellent wind load resistance (level 12) and earthquake resistance (8-degree seismic fortification). Purlins are made of galvanized C-shaped steel, lightweight and corrosion-resistant, with a lifespan exceeding 20 years.

Enclosure System: Walls and roof are constructed using EPS sandwich panels with a thermal conductivity of 0.041W/(m·K), providing 6-8℃ cooling in summer and energy-saving insulation in winter. The metal surface is treated with a fluorocarbon coating to resist UV aging.

Integrated Accessories: Equipped with color steel gutters and PVC drainage pipes to ensure smooth roof drainage (5° slope) and prevent rainwater leakage.
